I'm looking for players to join me in concurring the raid Barad Guldur. If you are on the Elendilmir server and you are interested, please either email me or comment on this post and I will do my best to answer you as fast as possible. This will be an ongoing raid and I will require people with patience and raiding experience.
The other day, I was pulled into a Ost Dunhoth Raid for the fear wing. Was I ever surprised to find that it was Durin's Bane sitting atop of the endless stairs.
So here's the run down of the fight .. well besides mine .. which is heal heal heal .. and turn oh and rez if required. The first half of the fight consist of 2 tanks and a handful of healers ( 2 minis 2 rks ) this combination allows us tu survive the fight. 4 rk's could of worked as well but would not of enjoyed countless hours of sweet guitar playing. The rk's have to have the "Do not fall to fire"enabled.
2 tanks do a countless numbers of switch since if he gets too pissed at you, not even 4 healers can help you there. He puts a debuff that cuts down incoming healing to like 80%.
You'll notice that in the video below he moves slightly forward every time he does his attack. He has one attack that he uses his whip to throw you through him and in front of him and if you don't cure the fear right away with a pot (since you don't have time for inductions) he "oneshots" you. These two things are the reason that the whole raid has to turn clockwise 180 degrees in order to keep from:
being tossed over the edge
losing your tank over the edge
After half his morale is down he will start shouting out "Face Durins Bane and be destroyed". Humm tough decision. At this moment you quickly turn around and enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains.
The rest of the fight is combination of all of these. Make sure to bring Fear soup :)
